Safe Online Casinos We Checked 14 Casinos’ Licences and Terms

Which online casinos are safe? We read 14 casinos’ licences, withdrawal limits and terms on their own sites, timed our own payouts, and built a safety scorecard for each one.

On this page
Quick answer

Of the 14 casinos we checked, Ignition and Bovada scored best on our eight safety checks, 12 points out of 16. Both say they have run for 10 years or more, publish Bitcoin limits of $90,000 a week, offer two-factor login and paid our own test withdrawals. MyBookie is third. Only three casinos have a seal that opens the regulator’s validator for their licence, all on the same Anjouan licence: Casino Max, Cherry Jackpot and Roaring 21. Casino Extreme’s seal shows a Curaçao Gaming Authority licence application.

None of them says plainly that you can set your own deposit limits in your account, and four cap what you can cash out from their deposit-match welcome bonus. Use the safety checker to see any casino’s scorecard, or compare them all for your state.

  • 3 of 14casinos have a seal that opens the regulator’s validator

  • 12 of 14casinos have paid our own test withdrawals

The safest online casinos we checked

Ranked on safety evidence, not bonuses. Each casino gets up to 2 points on each of eight checks: its licence, how long it has run, when it checks your ID, its withdrawal limits and fees, red flags in its terms, player protection, account security and our own payout test. Casinos we’ve withdrawn from come first, then the most points, then our fastest payout. Everything is from the casino’s own pages, read on 22 October 2026; how we grade each check is below.

    Ignition

    Top safety score, faster payout

Ignition scored 12 of 16 on our checks, level with Bovada, and ranks first because it paid us faster: a Bitcoin withdrawal in 1 hour 27 minutes. Its casino page names the licence holder, Arachis Media Ltd, and the Anjouan Gaming Board, and says it has been “safe & trusted since 2016”. Bitcoin withdrawals go up to $9,500 a request and $90,000 a week with no Ignition fee, and you can turn on two-factor login with an authenticator app or by SMS.

Its limits match Ignition’s: $9,500 a Bitcoin request and $90,000 a week, with no fee on crypto, and it offers two-factor login with an authenticator app or SMS. Our Bitcoin withdrawals took 4 hours 52 minutes, and 22 hours for a $4,500 one, timed until Bovada sent it.

    MyBookie Casino

    Clearest ID rules

MyBookie is the only one of our top three that says when it checks your ID: at least once before your first withdrawal, normally within 24 hours. It says it has run since 2014, and its Bitcoin payout to us took 14 minutes, the fastest of our top three. Limits are lower than Ignition’s: one withdrawal per method a week, $10,000 a week in all and up to $5,000 by Bitcoin.

Casino Extreme says it has run since 2000, the longest of any casino here. It paid our Litecoin withdrawal in 12 minutes, the fastest casino payout we’ve timed.

Super Slots shares Wild Casino’s cashier and terms: no per-request limit on Bitcoin and no fee listed, two-factor login, and cancelling a request yourself while it’s under review. We also checked Shazam Casino (4 of 16: a $2,000 weekly limit, welcome-bonus cashouts capped at 20 times the deposit, and a 42-hour payout in our test), Red Dog (5 of 16: $2,500 a payout with one pending at a time, welcome cashouts capped at 30 times the deposit, and a 17-hour 22-minute payout in our test), and Cherry Gold Casino (8 of 16: $2,000 a week with one request a week, no licence or company named in its terms, and a 37-hour 29-minute payout in our test), and BoVegas, which took 48 hours 10 minutes to pay our $225 Bitcoin withdrawal and caps withdrawals at $2,000 a week. BetOnline scores 11 and SportsBetting.ag 9, but we review both, and BUSR and Xbet, as sportsbooks, so they’re in the checker rather than the casino ranking.

Is this casino safe for me?

Pick a casino for its full safety scorecard, or compare them all. Add your state to hide casinos that won’t take you. Every point comes from the casino’s own pages and our own test withdrawals.

The checker needs JavaScript. In short: Ignition and Bovada score 12 of 16, MyBookie 11, Casino Extreme, Wild Casino, Super Slots and Sloto Cash 9, and Shazam lowest with 4. The tables below show each casino’s licence and red flags.

The score adds up eight checks, so read the scorecard, not just the number: a casino can score well and still have one rule that matters to you, such as a $4,000 weekly limit if you play big, or a cap on welcome-bonus cashouts if you like bonuses.

Red flags in the terms

These are the clauses that can cost you money. We searched every casino’s own terms, banking and bonus pages for them; here is who has which.

From each casino’s own terms, banking and bonus pages, 22 October 2026.
Red flagWhat it means for youWhose terms have it
Cashout cap on a deposit bonusWinnings above a multiple of your deposit are removed when you withdrawDeposit-match welcome bonuses at Casino Extreme (THEBIGONE, 5 times the deposit), Shazam (20 times), BoVegas (25 times) and Red Dog (30 times); Cherry Gold’s BANKERS and SONGBIRD (25 times) and CHERRYSLOTS (35 times on its offer card, though its welcome page text says no limit)
Cap on free-spin winsWinnings from welcome free spins stop at a set amountWild Casino, Super Slots, BetOnline and SportsBetting.ag ($100)

Idle balance zeroed or reducedStop playing for a while and you can lose the balanceCasino Max, Cherry Jackpot and Roaring 21 (can be reduced after 180 days), Wild Casino, Super Slots, BetOnline and SportsBetting.ag (zeroed after 12 months), Sloto Cash (voided after 12 months without a login), Bovada and Ignition (18 months)
Caps on what you can winWinnings over the cap aren’t paidXbet ($50,000 a day per account), MyBookie and BUSR ($100,000 a day), Wild Casino and Super Slots ($250,000 a day on table games, $1,000,000 a day on jackpots), BetOnline and SportsBetting.ag ($1,000,000 a day on slot jackpots), Casino Max, Cherry Jackpot, Roaring 21, Cherry Gold and BoVegas (50,000 times the bet per line on one spin)

A deadline on ID checksMiss it and your winnings can be voidedCasino Max, Cherry Jackpot and Roaring 21: start within 7 days of a payout request and finish within 30
Card deposits held or chargedPay by card and you wait, or pay a feeBUSR (30 business days before a payout), Xbet (7 business days), Wild Casino, Super Slots, BetOnline and SportsBetting.ag (a 3-day wait may apply), Bovada and Ignition (card fees of 15.9% or more)
Disputes on the casino’s termsLittle time or no independent body if something goes wrongSloto Cash (14 days to raise a dispute), Bovada (it chooses the arbitration body once a claim arises)
  • The 1x deposit rule is almost everywhere. Every casino and sportsbook we checked except BUSR asks you to wager each deposit once before you withdraw it, bonus or not. At Casino Max, Cherry Jackpot, Roaring 21 and Casino Extreme you can withdraw early, but for a fee.
  • The usual offshore clauses. Every set of terms we read lets the casino close accounts at its discretion and void winnings for chargebacks, multiple accounts, VPN use or “bonus abuse”. That’s why no casino earns a green on terms; we mark the ones with extra rules that can cost you.
  • What’s missing matters too. Wild Casino’s terms ban play from restricted states and countries in a list in paragraph 15 that names none; Super Slots’ terms point to a paragraph 15 that doesn’t exist, and SportsBetting.ag’s to a paragraph 16 with no list.

Licences: what each casino shows

A licence line on its own can’t be checked. What you can check is a seal that opens the regulator’s own validator page for that licence, and a company name that matches across the footer, the terms and the licence. We can’t see what an offshore licence requires of a casino, so we weigh our payout tests and each casino’s terms as heavily as its licence.

How to check a casino yourself

This is the routine we follow for every casino on this page, and you can do it before you deposit a cent.

  1. Click the licence seal

Scroll to the footer and click the licence seal. A real one opens the regulator’s own site with a page for that exact domain, like the Anjouan Gaming Board validator on Casino Max. Check that the page is for the licence the casino names: Casino Extreme’s seal is for a licence application, not the licence in its terms. A seal that only links back to the casino, or a licence line with no seal, can’t be checked.

  2. Match the company names

The company in the footer, the terms and the licence should be the same. Cherry Jackpot’s footer says Entertainment Software Group Ltd. and its terms say Entsoft Group Ltd, with the same registration number; Ignition names one company as operator and another as licence holder. If the names don’t match, ask support why before you deposit.

  3. Read the withdrawal limits before you deposit

A $2,000 weekly limit means a $20,000 win takes ten weeks to come out. Look for the weekly cap, how many requests you can make, and which methods are free. None of the casinos here lists its own fee on Bitcoin withdrawals.

  4. Search the terms for the expensive words

Press Ctrl+F (or Find on page) in the terms and bonus terms and search for: max cashout, maximum cash out, dormant, inactive, administration fee, sole discretion, instalment and days. Those words lead you to the clauses in our red flags table.

  5. Find out when they check your ID

Most casinos check before your first withdrawal. Send a photo ID, a proof of address dated within the last 60 days (Ignition’s and MyBookie’s rule; others accept 3 months) and photos of any card you used right after your first deposit, so a payout isn’t held up later. At Casino Max, Cherry Jackpot and Roaring 21 a late check can cost you your winnings.

  6. Turn on two-factor login

Bovada, Ignition, Wild Casino and Super Slots let you add a code to your login, and BetOnline and SportsBetting.ag do too. Turn it on before you deposit; it makes it much harder for someone with your password to get into your account.

  7. Make a small test withdrawal

Deposit a small amount, play it through once, and withdraw it before you deposit more. That’s how we start at every casino: if a small withdrawal is slow or blocked, a big one is unlikely to be better.

How we checked and ranked these casinos

We read each casino’s footer, terms, bonus terms, banking, responsible gaming, security and help pages on 22 October 2026, wherever we could load them, and quoted what they say. We didn’t use review sites or forums. The main conflicts between a casino’s own pages are listed in the change log below. Each check is worth up to 2 points: 2 for green, 1 for amber, 0 for red or grey.

  • Licence you can check: Green: regulator, licence number and holder published, with a seal that opens the regulator’s validator for that licence. Amber: a regulator is named, but not all of that. Red: no regulator named.
  • Years operating: Green: a start year 10 or more years ago on its own site. Amber: a period with no start year (such as “over 10 years”), or a start year or period for its management or team. Grey: no year or period published.
  • When it checks your ID: Green: it says when (before your first withdrawal, or above a deposit total). Amber: only that it may ask.
  • Withdrawal limits and fees: Green: a published limit of $10,000 or more a week by crypto, with no casino fee. Amber: $4,000 to $10,000 a week, one payout per method a week, or no weekly figure published. Red: under $4,000 a week, or $2,500 a payout one at a time.
  • Red flags in its terms: Amber: the usual offshore clauses plus one or two that can cost you. Red: a cashout cap on a deposit-match welcome bonus, winnings voided if you miss an ID-check deadline, or jackpots paid over years. No casino we checked earned a green.
  • Player protection: Green: limits you can set yourself in your account (none of the casinos says plainly that you can). Amber: at least two of deposit limits, time-outs and self-exclusion, on request. Red: one tool or none.
  • Account security: Green: two-factor login. Amber: a code only when you withdraw. Grey: nothing published.
  • Our fastest payout: Green: under 24 hours in our own test. Amber: over 24 hours. Grey: not tested yet.
  • Order: casinos we’ve withdrawn from rank above those we haven’t, then by points, then by our fastest payout. Payout times are withdrawals we made with our own money, timed from request to wallet unless we say otherwise.

We earn a commission when you sign up through our links. It doesn’t change the scores: every rule is on this page, and a casino that pays us more can’t buy a green.

Conflicts we found on casinos’ own pages

  • 22 Oct 2026: We rebuilt this page and checked the licences, limits and terms of 14 casinos and 4 sportsbooks on their own sites.
  • 22 Oct 2026: Red Dog: its page code names an Anjouan licence, ALSI-122310020-F16, but the footer text was hidden when we loaded it; its home page says it holds “a reputable Curacao gaming license”, and its terms name “Gaming Services Provider N.V.” as its licensing body.
  • 22 Oct 2026: Casino Extreme: its terms say it operates under licence 1668/JAZ via Curaçao eGaming, while its home page says it has applied for a licence with the Curaçao Gaming Authority. Its FAQ says it charges no fees on deposits or withdrawals, its terms allow a fee of up to 10% on a deposit you haven’t played; its FAQ says it verifies you for your first payout, its terms that it “may ask”.
  • 22 Oct 2026: Cherry Jackpot and Roaring 21: the footer names Entertainment Software Group Ltd. and the terms Entsoft Group Ltd, with the same registration number; the FAQ gives a $200 minimum withdrawal, the banking page $30 by Bitcoin. Casino Max’s banking page sets the same 7-day ID deadline as theirs.
  • 22 Oct 2026: Ignition: it names Bamboo Media as operator “in some jurisdictions” and Arachis Media Ltd as licence holder; its terms name EGIS-ADR for disputes, while its dispute page names a Dispute Resolution Office and no outside body; big crypto withdrawals are paid “every 3 days” on one page and “1 every 15 minutes” on another.
  • 22 Oct 2026: Bovada: its limits pages give a Litecoin maximum of $9,500 and $2,500 a request; it promises crypto “within 24 hours” but says review takes about 24 to 48 hours; its deposit-fees page says 5.9% in its description and 15.9% in the text; its help pages say every deposit must be wagered before you withdraw, its terms that you may withdraw up to your full balance.
  • 22 Oct 2026: BetOnline: its terms name Panama’s Junta de Control de Juegos, other pages the “Panama Gaming Commission”; its limits table shows no Bitcoin limit, its Bitcoin page $500,000 a transaction.
  • 22 Oct 2026: Wild Casino, Super Slots and SportsBetting.ag: the withdrawal rules allow 10 withdrawals in 7 days, while the frequency table says crypto is unlimited.
  • 22 Oct 2026: BUSR: its rules say you must be 21, its FAQ 18. MyBookie and Xbet advertise “fee free payouts” but list wire fees of $35 to $50 and up to $160.
  • 22 Oct 2026: Xbet says it is “fully licensed in Curacao”, but its terms say it is run entirely within Costa Rica under Costa Rica law. BoVegas names a Curaçao licence on its home page and UK law in its terms.
  • 22 Oct 2026: Cherry Gold: its home page says withdrawals take 24 to 48 hours, its terms 3 to 7 business days; its promotions set a $10 maximum bet with a bonus, its FAQ says none applies.
  • 22 Oct 2026: Shazam: its terms name Astartabiz Kft. as operator, while its AML page is headed “Curacao Co N.V.”.

When a casino changes its licence, limits or terms, we update its scorecard and add the change here with the date.

FAQs

Which online casinos are safe?

On our eight safety checks, Ignition and Bovada scored best with 12 points out of 16, then MyBookie with 11, and Casino Extreme, Wild Casino, Super Slots and Sloto Cash with 9. All of them paid our own test withdrawals. None is licensed by a US state, so read each one's scorecard before you deposit.

Are offshore casinos safe?

They aren't regulated by any US state, so your protection rests on the casino's offshore licence, its terms and its track record. We check all three and test withdrawals with our own money. Before you deposit, read the terms for cashout caps, idle-balance rules and weekly withdrawal limits.

How can I tell if an online casino is licensed?

Click the licence seal in its footer. A real one opens the regulator's own validator page for that licence. Of the casinos we checked, only Casino Max, Cherry Jackpot and Roaring 21 have one; Casino Extreme's seal is for a licence application, most others just name a regulator, and Wild Casino, Super Slots and Sloto Cash name none.

What are the biggest red flags in casino terms?

Cashout caps on deposit bonuses (Shazam caps welcome-bonus winnings at 20 times your deposit), fees for withdrawing a deposit you haven't played (25% at Casino Max), idle balances being zeroed (after 12 months at Wild Casino), and deadlines that can void your winnings (the 7-day ID rule at Casino Max, Cherry Jackpot and Roaring 21).

When do online casinos check your ID?

Most check before your first withdrawal. MyBookie, Sloto Cash, Casino Extreme, Casino Max, Cherry Jackpot and Roaring 21 say so, and Red Dog and BoVegas also check once your deposits pass $2,000. Ignition and Wild Casino say only that they may ask, and Bovada wants a card form from card depositors before any withdrawal. Sending documents after your first deposit avoids a delay later.

Which casinos have two-factor login?

Bovada and Ignition (an authenticator app or SMS), Wild Casino and Super Slots (a code by email or SMS), plus BetOnline and SportsBetting.ag. MyBookie and Xbet send a code only when you withdraw, and BUSR only for crypto payouts.

Can an online casino refuse to pay my winnings?

Every set of terms we read lets the casino void winnings for breaking its rules, such as multiple accounts, chargebacks, VPN use or bonus abuse. Some also cap what you can win: MyBookie at $100,000 a day per account and Xbet at $50,000. Big wins can be paid slowly too: Casino Extreme can take up to 2 years on a progressive jackpot.

Can I set deposit limits at offshore casinos?

At most of them, by asking. None of the casinos we checked says plainly that you can set limits yourself in your account: Ignition, Bovada, MyBookie, Casino Max and others set them through customer service or an account manager. Wild Casino and Super Slots offer time-outs but publish no deposit limits, and Shazam and Red Dog offer only self-exclusion.

Checked by the Online Casinos 2U team

We read every casino’s licence, terms and banking pages on its own site and time payouts with our own money. When a casino changes its licence, limits or terms, its scorecard and this page’s change log are updated.
